European Foundation for Quality in E-Learning

The European Foundation for Quality in E-Learning (EFQUEL) has been launched in the frame of the Online Educa in Berlin this December. It is a new initiative from three successful European e-learning projects. They approach quality in e-learning from different and complementary perspectives and thus develop full-scale services for all educational fields, regional contexts and target groups. The Foundation will serve as sustainable and proactive network and will provide valuable services to the European e-learning community.
The launch event included welcome addresses from Richard Straub (IBM), Werer Herrmann (CEDEFOP) and Brian Holmes (European Commission).
